Adam Cieślik Starts as a Postdoctoral Researcher

15.01.2025

Adam has joined David Fajmann as a postdoctoral researcher after finishing his PhD. He will work in the frame of the FWF-funded project “Matter dominated cosmology”.

Adam studied at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He pursued his Bachelor’s degree under the supervision of Sebastian Szybka. For both his Master’s and PhD, he worked with Patryk Mach. His research, conducted with Mach and other collaborators, focused on the relativistic Vlasov gas theory, an application of kinetic theory within the General Theory of Relativity framework. Specifically, the study addressed the problem of accretion, i.e., the absorption of this gas by black holes.

His primary research interests lie in the mathematical description of particle motion in the General Theory of Relativity and the application of numerical methods to simulate the studied problems.

In Vienna, Adam plans to further extend the analysis of the Vlasov gas theory, this time within a cosmological context.

We welcome him to Vienna and wish him much success in our team!
